The Layers Directory

LEGION Model Builder contains layers which make it easier to manage complex models and analyses. There are four types of layer within LEGION Model Builder:

  • CAD Layers.
  • Activity Object Layers.
  • Partition Layers (used to hold Partition Guides when part of the space needs to be modelled using Focal Drift Zones rather than auto-navigation)
  • Conditions Layer (this stores Analysis Objects, which are used to set up Conditions; please see Conditions in Models ).

When you open a new model project, default versions of these layer types are created.

The Layers Directory allows you to add layers, view the properties of existing layers and change existing layer properties. It is displayed alongside LEGION Model Builder workspace and can also be displayed by selecting View > Toolbars > Layers. See Layers for further information.

To create more space, you can choose to ‘Auto Hide’ the Layers Directory: just click on the small ‘push-pin’ icon next to its name. This will hide it until you click on its still-visible name tab. To turn off ‘Auto Hide’, click the push-pin icon again.
